We live in Denver Colorado where Chris grew up and Stacy moved when she was 19 and just out of hair school. We met while we were working as Young Life leaders, dated for a few years, and were married in June of 2010. Young Life is a Christian outreach ministry for high school and middle school age kids. We love Jesus and believe we can do all things through Him.
On the Fourth of July 2012 Chris became paralyzed diving into a lake and broke his neck. He crushed his C4 vertebrae compressing his spinal cord and leaving him unable to move anything below his shoulders. His injury was classified as incomplete meaning that the spinal cord was not severed but severely damaged. Chris has already started to regain some of the feeling and movement lost by the damaged nerves and we pray every day that his healing will continue.
The night of Chris' injury Stacy found out that she was pregnant and we are expecting our first baby due in March 2013.
